Your chalet is the perfect starting point for all your adventures in summer and winter. The city of Salzburg is just an hour's drive from the Birgkar and offers plenty of culture. We are happy to create your personal holiday experience according to your preferences. Sport, pleasure, nature and culture - everything is possible. ### Location & arrival By car From Salzburg, take the A10 motorway to the exit at Bischofshofen, where you take the main road to Mühlbach am Hochkönig. There you continue towards Dienten, always with the mighty Hochkönig in front of you. When you reach the highest point, the Dientner Sattel, you will see the Birgkar to your right on a small hill. XL parking spaces are available in the underground car park, including an e-charging station. By train The nearest train station is in Bischofshofen or Saalflelden, both 20 minutes away by car. Let us know when you are arriving and we will be happy to organise your transfer from Bischofshofen or Saalfelden. Trains between Bischofshofen and Salzburg run once an hour. By aeroplane The nearest airport is in Salzburg City. We will be happy to organise the transfer directly, just let us know your flight number and arrival time when booking. By helicopter If you are travelling by helicopter, please let us know and we will make all the necessary arrangements. ### Summer & Winter When a protective white blanket of snow covers nature, a wonderful time begins around the Birgkar am Hochköng. With ski in - ski out and the cross-country ski trail right on the doorstep, the Birgkar is the perfect location for winter adventures of all kinds. The Birgkar is surrounded by majestic mountain peaks and green alpine meadows. The hiking network begins right on the doorstep with perfectly signposted hiking trails. Via ferratas and climbing routes, 5 golf courses within a radius of 30 km, as well as lakes and swimming pools fill the leisure offer. Whether a classic hiking holiday, an active holiday or a cultural trip, many things are possible at the Birkgar.
